Spa in times of COVID-19
Hygiene measures and a health check are the basis

To ensure that we as therapists can work safely, it is important that we follow these instructions: We will follow hygiene measures carefully. With washing our hands regularly with soap and water, with not touching our face with our hands, do not shake hands, when we cough or sneeze, it will be in a paper towel or into elbow. The same we will ask from our clients.


From now on it is necessary to do a health check on ourselves and our customers. With a health check, we mean that before entering into the service business, we always check whether we are healthy and whether the customer has no complaints that are appropriate for the new coronavirus.

The advice given to us is to separate the areas where customer contact is made. This limits the number of people in one room as much as possible. It is important that everyone keeps 1.5 meters distance. Areas were our customers can’t sit are marked.

Unfortunately  we had to remove coffee, tea and magazines.  Our clients are free to bring their own drinks.



Before booking an appointment with our customers, we must ask them a number of questions (see the questions below). If one of these questions is answered with "yes", we will not make an appointment or cancel the appointment.

If you, as a customer, have health complaints such as the common cold, cough, fever and / or shortness of breath, you will have to stay at home to get well and call your doctor. That will count also for us as therapists. If you belong to one of the risk groups, please were a mouth mask.

Questions that will be asked by phone or by email before treatment : if one of the questions below is answered with a "YES",  we as therapists cannot come to work or the customer cannot come to the appointment. The job or appointment must be postponed until a NO can be answered to each one of the questions.

  1. Have you had one or more of the following (mild) complaints in the past 24 hours or at the moment: nose cold, cough, shortness of breath and / or fever (from 38 degrees Celsius)?

  2. Do you currently have a housemate / family member with a fever and / or complaints of shortness of breath?

  3. ​Have you had the new coronavirus (diagnosed with a laboratory test) and have you not yet been declared cured?

  4. Do you have a roommate / family member with the new coronavirus (determined by a laboratory test) and did you have contact with this roommate / family member less than 14 days ago while he / she still had complaints?

  5. Are you quarantined because you have had direct contact with someone who has been diagnosed with the new coronavirus?



At time of arrival all clients will be asked to wash or disinfect hands first. Hand sanitizer will be available at the desk


If inside is to busy, our advice is to wait in the car or outside the spa to avoid agglomeration


Out of precautions direct contact will be avoided ( hugs, kisses, handshake)

We are only allowed to skip the 1,5 meter between THERAPIST and CLIENT when performing


We will build in a hour between clients for good cleaning


In that hour we will be cleaning all door handles, swipe machine, desk, restroom etc.


We kindly ask our clients to pay with debit card (ATM)


Spa standards

It is also important that the workplace is clean. Clean rooms, furniture and materials/products . It’s not because of COVID-19, but we share Elada Spa standards  as part of how we work.

  • A medical form is filled out for all new clients for our client data

  • We wash our hands before treatments

  • All treatments except massages and hair braiding we wear new gloves and mouth mask

  • We discuss with our clients any areas to spend more attention on

  • We use as much as we can disposable instruments

  • We clean used bottles and bowls

  • Each client has a clean set of sheets and/or towels

  • Each client has clean and sterilized set instruments or it’s own

  • After treatment we wash our hands (with massages till elbows)

  • We clean and keep our work areas clean.

  • We keep our work areas and on point and organized

  • We do not share with third parties information about our clients

  • We love to communicate with our clients
